Each year I
get up north around Buskhorn, Ontario and spend time in my
canoe. That's where I found myself one afternoon surrounded by
hundreds of white water lilies on this small lake. Back home a
fish pond had just been put in and I could use some lilies.
Wanting a shallower place to retrieve the lilies, I paddled
towards a small island and then spotted this old half sunken
row boat. Departing the canoe I instantly sank up to my knees
into mud. Well I got my water lilies and the title for this
painting. |
