Visiting a friends farm I noticed this
cuddly white kitten on the window sill of their old stone
barn. I was told her name was Marshmallow. Returning later
with my painting supplies, I found her still sleeping
peacefully well above the horses, goats, ducks and dogs that
are her waking playmates. Marshmallow didn't seem to mine the
cob webs that framed her resting spot as she enjoyed the
warmth of the afternoon sun. Working on a wet watercolour, in
a barn with animals and hay storage brings with it smells that
attach to wet paper for awhile. Later the same day in the
studio I could smell the barn when I got close to my
watercolour. Well, I am now one of the few artists that can
honestly say some of my work really does stink. |
