Lighthouses hold a special meaning for me.
My experiences of sailing the east coast has given me an
affinity for lighthouses earned behind the helm. When I saw
the power of these wind driven waves pounding this lighthouse
and pier, I was glad my feet were planted on solid ground. I
never had real appreciation for power boats ontil I was out on
our sail boat in this kind of sea. We went through, up, down
and sideways all at the same time. They go from wave to wave,
on top.
