I was living on a farm when Patches was born
in our largest barn used for storing hay. She was the only
calico in a litter of five kittens. Two years later I moved
back to London and could not leave this cute little lady
behind. At first she was terrified of strangers but over time
took her place as the lady of the house greeting everyone at
the door by insisting on licking their hand.
