When I was canoeing I saw this tree and was
quite taken with the tenacity of some trees to hang on to
their leaves over the winter. This tree was the only one in
the area that hung on to last year's colours. I started this
watercolour at a class as a demonstration of how to do it, but
I totally over did it. So I spent the next four days lifting
out all the paint where the sun was hitting the trees and
fence. I think it worked!
