When I lived on a farm, my neighbours had a
quantity of loose hay left over from last years harvest. Not
wanting to waste it, he loaded this wagon and took it over for
the neighbour's cows to eat. Ever morning he would arrive with
another wagon load of last years hay. I became aware of this
while driving by one day and seeing cows up on the wagon. With
an inquiry and permission I arrived back with sketch book and
camera in hand to start my next painting.
